About me
Joel McKenzie is the Chief Information Security Officer and the director of IT Security at Western Carolina University. He has served in the Information Security Officer role at WCU since 2013. He has been an IT professional since 1982, including 16 years with WCU. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in information systems, and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Western Carolina University. Joel is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
